WIRTH'S CIRCUS

To the familiar accompaniment of bright lights, cracking whips and flying sawdust, Wirths' Circus will appear in Katanning on Wednesday, July 29th, 1936 for one performance, only.
Wirth Bros, over a long period of years have maintained a standard of performance, which no other similar organisation in Australasia has been able to approach.
This year's programme is claimed by Mr, Philip Wirth, Snr., to be the most gigantic and costly circus Wirth Bros, have ever presented to the public, and the firm's quiet boast, "Everything coming: we never divide," is fulfilled, for the show which appears in capital cities also goes on tour.
All persons who enter the "big top" to witness Wirth. Bros.' mighty 1936 circus will be enthralled with the 39 scenes of gay pageantry, uproarious comedy, brilliant acrobatics, daring trapezists, clever tumblers, brilliant equestrians, crazy clowns, magnificent horses, and a big troupe of international star artists direct from Europe — "truly a show you'll never forget."

Tumbling, balancing, brought to a sensational climax when Mayeda Kobe makes a 90ft. slide backwards down a rope suspended from the top of the king-pole, with only the aid of his clever toes and a Japanese paper umbrella.
Also the Seven Hiltons, in a series of remarkable acrobatic feats, while August Hilton performs a triple somersault from a springboard into a chair without the use of safety nets. Frohn's educated sea lions, in a dazzling Arctic setting, which perform balancing and juggling acts never before witnessed in Australia.

"Carbine," the largest trained sea lion in the world, balances a lighted glass lamp on the end of his nose while he mounts the ladder to walk the tight-rope. The Six Carlsens, beautiful female tumblers, in the fastest lightning tumbling, act in the world.
The Four-Onotos, in their death-daring aerial motor cycle act ; they play with death in mid-air; while Leonard Onoto makes nine somersaults in mid-air while his cycle is travelling at a speed of approximately 90 miles per hour.
